Baking Explosion

For a school assignment, I had to make a Volcano and it had to erupt!  I had the great idea to make my volcano out of cake.

I baked 4 cakes to make the body of the volcano and also used the cake and bottles to shape it like a volcano.

 I had to be very precise in my measuring.  I kept the center hollow with a empty plastic water bottle which eventually would hold all my erupting ingredients.

 I used A LOT of frosting....

I used graham crackers for the rocks and sand.

My teacher said that in all her years of teaching, she never once had a student make a volcano out of cake.  Watch the video below to see my Cake Volcano erupt!!
